Your relaxing, enjoyable full service experience, and meaningful, high quality finished art are achieved through our 6-step portrait experience:
1. DREAM
You have a special milestone coming up, and you know it’s important to you to document it. If it’s important to you, it’s important to us! You may not be sure exactly what you’re looking for, or you may have some idea. Either way, we’re here to help turn that dream into a reality. After you contact us, we will offer you some times for your complimentary consultation.
2. PERSONALIZE
Cozy up with a cup of coffee to “meet” your photographer for a complimentary consultation. This is a quick, casual Zoom call which can be done at a time that is most convenient for you. The consultation allows your photographer to get to know a bit more about what you envision for your session, to help guide you in decisions like location and styling, and to go over the process, and to show you the product menus in detail, so you know everything you need to know before booking.
3. BOOK
Newborn photography is booked for 8-14 days after your due date, and then we can easily reschedule if baby shows up earlier or later than expected. Maternity photography is booked for when you’re around 32-36 weeks along. One we pick the date(s) to book you in for, we send you a simple booking email and request for your session fee. Images are purchased after you view the edited proofs, which ensures we are accountable for creating images you LOVE and you get to choose your favourite ones!
4. STYLE
We can’t emphasize enough the importance of styling and coordinating wardrobe to your photography location, personal taste, and the look and feel of your home where your images will be displayed. We have curated a Client Closet with timeless flowy dresses and casual options for pregnant and new moms, and to match a variety of locations for your session, whether in your home or outdoors. For one less thing on your plate, will also book you one of our talented hair & makeup artists to pamper you in your home before the session, for smooth skin and silky waves so you look your best in your photos.
5. CREATE
Your lovely makeup artist will show up around 1.5 hours before your session start time. For newborn photography, we will meet you at our studio or your home for a relaxing 1-3 hour session during which they will work hands on to soothe, settle, wrap, and pose your baby thoughtfully and artistically. For maternity or family photography, we will meet at the agreed upon location either in your home or outdoors. After your session, we will thoughtfully select and edit your best 30-40 photos to show you.
6. CHOOSE YOUR ART
A couple weeks after your photography session, we will set up a virtual viewing & ordering session so we can show you the digital proofs and walk you through the selection process. What you choose to purchase from your images is up to you, and there is something for everyone. You can learn more about the products and starting prices in our Investment section. We will make wall mockups and suggestions to help guide you, so the images look like the beautiful art that they’re meant to be. Your final images will be ordered, received and carefully packaged by our team, and shipped straight to your door step.
All new clients are welcomed into our Client Club which gives exclusive access to VIP milestone sessions, to capture your babies as they grow. We pride ourselves in working with many beloved repeat clients!
